What data exists, what doesn’t, and what happens to it.

Capturing, annotating, copying and saving happen entirely on your computer. Screenshots are saved where you choose. The app collects no usage statistics, includes no analytics, and needs no account to run.
We store your name, your email, your plan and the devices you have signed in from (machine name, Vixnap version and when it was last seen). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, your name and your profile picture from Google, and nothing else. The account is what lets you upload screenshots, share links and subscribe.
Screenshots and videos you upload are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket in the European Union, encrypted in transit. They are only served through signed links that expire. You decide what gets shared and you can delete it whenever you want; once deleted, the link stops working.
Payments are processed by Stripe as our processor. We never see or store your card details: only your customer id, the state of your subscription and your invoices.
The app checks whether there is a new version and, if you are signed in, checks your plan from time to time. Those requests carry an installation identifier we generate at random on first run, the Vixnap version and your session. That identifier says nothing about your machine or about you.
Vixnap writes a log file in your application data folder, rotated daily, so problems can be diagnosed. It stays on your disk. If you ask us for help, you decide whether to send it.
You can access your data, correct it, take it with you or ask us to delete it, either by writing to us or from your own dashboard. When you close your account we delete your content after 30 days. You may also complain to the Spanish data protection authority.
